Let me just start off by saying last night was so insane!
Lauren, Matt, Lee, Scott, and I went to see a Tribe Called Quest and they were sooooo fucking sick. I can die happy now having seen them. I'm still in shock that I finally got to see them and how good they were. The Procussions, Rhymefest, and Consequence were all fun, too. And I stood/made hand motions with a cute boy with amazing big hair, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Then to top all of that off, we decided it'd be a good idea if we just stayed the night in Atlantic City, so we got a room at El Rancho Motel. Which, just so you can grasp how high-quality this place was, was right across the street from a funeral home. It was great. So we basically just partied there until some early hour in the morning.

This has been one of my favorite nights. I mean, if you know how much I love tribe, you know this was HUGE for me.

Now I'm reallyyy excited to see Clipse and the Stone's Throw 10th anniversary show.

so while i was running today, i was thinking about how much i love dance parties and i was bummed because i couldn't think of any big dance parties coming up.
BUT THEN IT HIT ME.
I'M GOING TO SEE A TRIBE CALLED QUEST ON THE 28TH.

A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, GUYS. IT JUST REGISTERED IN MY MIND THAT I'M SEEING THEM EVEN THOUGH I'VE HAD THE TICKETS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF AUGUST. I GET A JOLT OF HAPPINESS EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT IT.

the dominican republic this year consisted of:

-beautiful beaches and insane sand storms
-dora and dave's death march part two
-getting maddddd tan
-awkward talks with people i partied with the night before
-my boy carlos the bartender that made us the best/tastiest shots ever!
-hanging a ton with nikki (and her brother)
-dancing until the club closed
-winning 60 bucks gambling
-late night swims in the pool, half-clothed
-getting kicked out of the pool, half-clothed
-swimming in the ocean after getting kicked out of the pool
-kissing cute boys in cute situations
-hot showers!
-comfy beds by the water
-bonding time with chloe
-independence
-experimentation
-catch phrase with everyone and dave especially (hahaha, a bartender came up to him while it was his turn and he yelled "get away from me!" at her. if you know dave, you know it's completely out of character for him)
-salsa dancing
-partying with the entertainment staff
